Stormzy has hit TikTok again with another of his pre-show 'GRWM' (get ready with me) videos. This time the UK rapper shared some insight into his daily routine now that he's actually out on his Australian tour.

The clips Stormzy shared are a mix of different show days, but depict his usual routine. On this occasion, he started his day with an 8am training session to ensure, which he explains is a 'light session' to 'preserve energy for the show'.

Stormzy completes dumbbell bicep curls, seated close-grip pulldowns, cable tricep extensions and isometric core work to finish before he enjoys a large breakfast with electrolytes to support his hydration.

The workout, although light in nature, will likely work to high-rep ranges with moderate weight, to facilitate a pump. A pump is essentially transient hypertrophy (a temporary increase is muscle size). This is caused by the blood rushing to the muscles, which is why you'll often see fitness models working with bands or doing press-ups before getting in front of the camera to increase the size of their muscles, even if temporarily.

After a full day of activities and a light lunch of sweet potato, fish and vegetables – a perfect balanced meal the will keep him full with a slow release of energy – Stormzy eats pre-performance meal of sweet potatoes (a larger portion as 'fuel' for the show), vegetables and king prawns. The increase in portion size, in particular carbohydrates will ensure he has energy throughout his performance.

Stormzy's diet is quite restrictive, so unfortunately he can't enjoy pastries ad libitum. However, he does allow himself to have a sniff of some croissants as a 'treat'. 'That's me smelling food,' he said. 'When I'm on this stupid diet, I like to smell food, it's a strange thing I do.'

Prior to his show on the Australian leg of his tour, he completes a warm-up of high knees, press-ups, dynamic hamstring stretches, alternate squats, jumping jacks and pogo jumps before stepping on stage. These plyometric, or explosive, exercises will prime his muscles ready, so he's ready to exert himself on stage.

After the show, Stormzy makes himself a smoothie of almond milk, smooth peanut butter, yoghurt and protein powder to support muscle growth and recovery. And to bolster his recovery efforts, he eats a McDonald's, but explains, 'Not all the time, because this was the last show.'
