Strictly Come Dancing's Sara Davies said she's "lost" without Aljaž Škorjanec, as she paid emotional tribute to her pro partner following their elimination at the weekend.

Yesterday evening (Monday, November 15), the pair appeared on spin-off show It Takes Two to look back on their time in the competition, and reflect on the dance-off opposite Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, despite receiving decent scores from the judges.

After watching their Best Bits, host Rylan asked the Dragon's Den star what she's going to do now that she doesn't have to train with Škorjanec every day, to which she tearfully replied: "Do you know what? I woke up this morning and I was just lost.

"I was! I just usually have a little routine... The alarm goes off at 5 o'clock, check my Instagram Stories and [Aljaž] puts a little post and I'm like, 'Oh, he's woke up!'

"Then we meet at our little studio where we had our own set of keys and then I'd let us in and [Aljaž] would make us coffees and I'd turn the glitterball on, even though we really didn't need a glitterball at 6 o'clock in the morning," she laughed, wiping her eyes with a tissue.

"But it just got us in the mood! Those first few hours in the morning before the VT teams would turn up, it would just be us and we'd have this intense learning. It was just wonderful."

This comes after Aljaž's own emotional farewell speech on the results show at the weekend in which he praised Sara's hard work and thanked her for welcoming him into her family.

"I feel like from that day we met under the Angel of the North, I was so pleased to dance with you this season. Honestly, I wouldn't want to dance with anybody else. You have been an absolute joy and a testament to hard work – not just on Strictly but with your business and you're a beautiful mother.

"Thank you for letting me spend so much time not just with you, but with the whole family, the Davies that are here tonight, all of the little ones at home. I've been so welcomed up North," the 31-year-old dancer added. "It made me feel like I'm back home in Slovenia because everyone is so lovely and friendly.

"I'm going to miss you so much. I'm going to miss dancing with you. I'm going to miss everything about this show. Thank you everyone and thank you for supporting us."

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 airs on Saturday nights on BBC One, with results shows every Sunday. Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
