Strictly Come Dancing’s Sam Quek has the most adorable fans cheering her on in tonight’s first live show of the famous BBC talent show. Her husband Tom Mairs posted a picture of Sam’s kids, three year old Molly and two year old Zac, as they rocked T-shirts with Sam’s face and the words “Team Mummy” on it, showing their support. The tots are also seen holding a silver disco ball as Tom captioned the cute image: "Team Mummy." The Olympic gold medallist took to the dancefloor with Nikita Kuzmin, who reached last year's final with Layton Williams. Sam confessed: “I’m so nervous. I’ve never felt nerves like it. It’s the unknown. Look at me, this isn’t me. I didn’t recognise myself in the mirror!” The pair performed the Foxtrot for their first dance which left fans in awe of their performance.

One fan said: “I’m loving Sam Quek,” while another commented: “I thought that was a very promising start from Sam Quek,” as a third even gave their predictions on the final already: “I am in love with sam quek I am in love with nikita kuzmin I am in love with sam and nikita's partnership FINALISTS.” When speaking to presenter Claudia Winkleman after their dance, Sam shouted out her children and husband for their support, while also thanking Nikita for being a great partner. “Big love to Molly and big love to Zac. This guy right here just takes me back to a place where I just need to calm, relax. I am just really grateful that I have someone that can just take me back to that bubble.”

Having been a favourite on our tv screens for some time - Sam was a presenter for the BBC’s Morning Live as well as team captain on A Question of Sport - the 35-year-old is open about the difficulties of juggling a career with motherhood.

She previously told OK!: “Life is very, very busy and every day is different and I love that but I used to feel very guilty about going to work. I’d worry - is there enough food in the ‘fridge, are the clothes clean and the washing done? I have got better at that, at working on those boundaries. Plus, I enjoy work, I love my career and I embrace the busyness - we could have nannies but I like being a hands-on parent.”
