Strictly's Oti Mabuse shares dramatic premature birth story along with rare picture of baby

Oti Mabuse has shared a rare snap with her baby daughter this week while marking six months since she was born, detailing how the little one 'defied odds' during the labour process after arriving early and spending six weeks in an incubator.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who has not shared her baby's name publicly, opened up to her 709K Instagram followers in the candid post - where she dubbed her daughter a 'miracle'.

Sharing a picture of the baby nestled into her neck, Oti wrote: "Today marks 6 months since our little miracle entered this world, defying the odds with her early arrival. Being a mom to a premature baby has been a journey filled with ups and downs, but oh, the beauty in every moment! I’m endlessly grateful for my daughter’s strength and resilience.

"She’s taught me more about love, courage, and gratitude than I ever thought possible. Here’s to celebrating milestones, big and small, and cherishing the precious gift of motherhood. So appreciative of everyone who’s joined us on this incredible journey. #PreemieMom #MiracleBaby #gratitude".

Oti also marked six months since giving birth with a chocolate cake and a number six candle.

The dancer, 33, shared the exciting news that she had welcomed a baby girl with her husband Marius Lepure on Christmas morning last year. However, Oti and her husband spent over a month in hospital while their little one suffered with jaundice.

The TV star has since kept fans updated on her parenting journey and has been openly candid when it comes to the difficulties that motherhood can bring.

Recently getting real with her followers, Oti admitted she keeps worrying for the little one and waking up to 'check she's breathing'. The dancer explained: "Ok mummies I have a few questions - would love any suggestions/advice. This is the face of a mum who should be beaming but I think I’m even more tired.

"Baby is sleeping so brilliantly every night this week 9pm to 9am (what an angel) but I’m not… because 1. I still have to pump every 2-4 hours at night if I don’t I will explode 2. I’m worried if I don’t pump at night as she’s asleep long hours now without a feed my supply will be less 3.

"All that sleep makes me even more worried because SIDS stays in the back of my mind, on a daily so I’m constantly waking up to check if she’s still breathing."

She ended it by saying: "So how do I enjoy getting sleep again but not lose my supply and learn to control my mummy paranoia?"
