Strictly's Gemma Atkinson shares cute throwbacks with her childhood dog Fergie
Gemma Atkinson shares adorable tribute to her childhood dog Fergie on social media on Thursday (27 April).
The former Strictly star took to Instagram to share a video of her as a young child holding her dog in her hands and petting it, along with a photos of her playing in the garden with Fergie, and an adorable photo of them both in bed together.
The star captioned the post: "Proof that Fergie, our first dog, forgave me for dropping her on her 1st day home🤦🏼♀️😂."
Gemma also opened up about how she has always been grateful for having a pet in her life and believes they play a big part in your upbringing.
She said: "If you can and they can be cared for and loved properly, get them a pet. Be it a fish, hamster, cat, dog. From my own experience growing up and with watching Mia it teaches empathy, compassion & a responsibility from a young age. I hope to always have muddy prints throughout our home. 🐾 "
This isn't the only sweet photos Gemma has shared recently too. The star shared snaps of her surprise baby shower organised by her friends on Instagram on Sunday (23 April).
She also shared a heartfelt message thanking her friends for organising her a wonderful baby shower: "Wow! What an afternoon," she said. "My agent told me today I had a meeting with Bleakholt to sort our next open day. I arrived to a surprise baby shower hosted by Team Gemma. The incredible ladies I trekked with and camped with for a week on the @coppafeelpeople cancer charity challenge. To say I was shocked is an understatement. 😂"
Gemma is currently expecting baby number two with her partner and Strictly pro Gorka Márquez.
The couple have been together since 2018 and are already parents to their daughter Mia, who was born in 2019.
