Strictly fans predict which celebrity is fated to go home this week for two key reasons
There is just one week until the famous Blackpool Week on Strictly Come Dancing, where the remaining celebrities get to dance in the famous ballroom, so no one will be wanting to end up in the dance off on Sunday 10 November. However, eagle eyed fans of the show have already decided who will be the unlucky celebrity to be going home this week, based on two reasons.
Taking to social media, Strictly viewers have decided Shayne Ward has danced his last dance, partly because he has already been in the bottom two twice, but also because on Saturday 9 November’s show he performed in the ‘death slot.’ As fans know, the death slot is the second dance in the running order of the evening, which is believed to be cursed with couples often going home after being the second pair on the dance floor. One recent example was Toyah Willcox in Movie Week, who got that slot and did indeed go home.
“That’s Shane out then,” wrote one fan on X, formerly Twitter, while another commented: “An early show rumba for Shayne is telling me he’s going home.” A third added: “They want Shayne to fail this week: going on second and a bloody rumba.” More fans agreed with one saying: “Dare I talk about how they’ve definitely set Shayne up to fail: worst performance slot, hardest dance, sandwiched between two front runners,” referring to his slot between Tasha Ghouri’s dance and Sarah Hadland’s, and a second adding: “It was a decent rumba from Shayne but I do think he'll be in the dance off.”

Another was especially mean, writing: “If Shayne wants to go to Blackpool he’d best go buy a bus ticket.”
Shayne and his professional partner Nancy Xu have been in the dance off twice already. The first time they were in the bottom two alongside Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk, and the judges decided to save Shayne. Two weeks later the couple found themselves in the bottom two again during Halloween Week following a Paso Doble that scored the couple 31 points, but the judges saved them again and sent Punam Krishan home instead.
Last week the couple fared better, dancing a Quickstep on Icons Week to The Beatles’ classic song Help! On Saturday night, their Rumba to Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time got decent scores of sevens and eights, leading them to be awarded a total of 30 points, but as fans know, that doesn't mean they are safe.
