Strictly Come Dancing viewers fuming over key detail in show asking 'how hard can it be?'

Some viewers of Strictly Come Dancing have complained about the level of noise from the audience and live singer performances as they've been left frustrated after noticing a key detail with the show's sound. The BBC dance contest was back on Saturday (October 19), as week five saw the remaining 12 couples strut their stuff in hopes of wowing the audience and the esteemed panel of judges, including Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who once graced the Strictly dance floor, made a dazzling comeback to share her latest hit, Freedom Of The Night. But on a DigitalSpy forum, viewers debated the sound and questioned if:" Sound levels improved - audience quieter, and less intrusive during the dances?"

One user commented by praising some show improvements with the sound, writing: " I don't think I'm imagining it, but last year the overly enthusiastic audience's whoops and cheers were loud and distracting, and were often louder than the music.

"This year, they've managed to change the balance, so the music is - quite rightly, easily heard above the audience reactions during the dance. So much more enjoyable. It really helps showcase how good the band are too. They're excelling themselves, with some amazing singers and renditions."

But other Strictly fans disagreed and complained about the sound during the popstar's performance. One wrote: "If they can do it for the audience in the show why can't they do it for the guest singers, the sound is always rubbish."

Another agreed, adding: "Yes indeed, the sound level was atrocious for Sophie Ellis-Bextor, since her singing was easily drowned out by the audience." While a third had a resolution and questioned: "Sophie Ellis-Bextor has a unique and powerful voice."

They continued: "Just turn the audience racket down - and keep it down - at the same consistent level...... so the dance music and singers (band or guest) can be heard! How hard can it be?"

Despite the complaints regarding sound, this week, viewers can feast their eyes on a spine-tingling Halloween Special as 11 pairs take centre stage, airing live on Saturday October 26 at 6.25pm with the nail-biting results show following on Sunday October 27 at 7.20pm, both on BBC One and iPlayer.

It comes after Ex-footballer Paul Merson became the latest celeb to gracefully exit Strictly Come Dancing last week, and it was on a high note. After being voted off, the 56 year old football pundit remained positive, stating he feels like a 'winner' for gaining new dance skills.

Paul couldn't hide his appreciation for his experience on the show and his partner. He said at the time: "It's been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you've got to go on this show. It's amazing everybody. There's a Tottenham fan over there called Lincoln and even he's nice."

"It's been amazing, honestly, amazing. I loved every minute of it, I've had a great teacher", he said. "She's been amazing, absolutely amazing and I couldn't wish for a better coach. I've loved every minute of it. I can dance now I've won because I can dance, I couldn't dance before and I can half dance now. It's a bonus, absolute bonus."
