Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips's Grease announces UK tour dates
Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Dame Arlene Phillips is bringing a new version of Grease to UK stages.
Acclaimed dancer Arlene is choreographing the 2024 national tour of the iconic musical, which was adapted into a timeless film in 1978 starring John Travolta and the late Olivia Newton-John. Arlene has also choreographed the West End version of Grease.
While the cast will be announced closer to the launch date, Arlene is collaborating with An Officer and a Gentleman and Sunset Boulevard director Nikolai Foster on an adaption of the original music and lyrics.
The same team are behind this summer's West End performances of the musical, which have featured Jason Donovan, Louise Redknapp and Peter Andre alternating the role of the Teen Angel.

Aside from her TV work on Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice, the choreographer's stage CV includes the West End production of The Wizard of Oz, the Royal Shakespeare Company's A Clockwork Orange and directing last year's UK tour of The Cher Show.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
