Storm Bert continues to pummel Scotland in fresh downpours amid new weather warning
Storm Bert is continuing to wreak havoc across the country, as another weather warning has been issued following a string of alerts over the weekend.
Many parts across Scotland were hit with winter conditions and sub-zero temperatures, amid an amber weather warning advising not to travel unless necessary. Just as the snow has cleared for many, the Met Office has warned further downpours are to come.
A yellow weather alert has been issued across parts of the Highlands, to be in place from 10.23am today (Monday, November 25) until 11.59pm tonight.

The Met Office warns that travel and transport delays are likely in and around Ullapool, with journeys to take longer than usual. People are urged to check their travel routes for any disruptions.
Flooding risk has been deemed 'likely' so local businesses and homes should prepare for up to 70mm of rainfall in places. Road users are also urged to travel with caution, as flooding to roads and spray will make for dangerous driving conditions.
The Met Office stated: Showers or longer spells of rain will continue for the rest of Monday across Northwest Scotland. Rain will be heavy at times, especially over high ground where accumulations of 50 to 70 mm are expected.
"Combined with melting snow this will lead a risk of some flooding. Showers will ease later in the evening."

Meanwhile, Storm Bert is not finished causing disruption across the country yet as many parts continue to be battered by gale force winds following a weekend of snow, wind, ice, and rain.
Another spell of very strong winds will affect parts of the north, as well as western and central areas. Gusts of up to 60mph are widely expected, with this rising as high as 70mph near coastal areas and exposed bridges.
Speaking on Monday's forecast, Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said that showers will be "frequent across Scotland, some longer spells of rain, snow falling over the mountains as well."
Those living on coastal areas should remain vigilant for large waves. The storm is expected to bring widespread rain even to areas outside of the warning, with maximum temperatures of 10C.
Showers will continue overnight before lightening by dawn, with parts of the country to drop as low as 1C. Tuesday looks to be a lot more settled, but the odd shower may appear around the coasts, with northwest breezes easing.
