Steph McGovern rushed to hospital after 'most painful thing'
TV and podcast host Steph McGovern was rushed to hospital after suffering 'probably the most painful thing' in an accident at home. The Packed Lunch presenter urged fans to look away as she explained what had happened and showed an x-ray of the damage.
The journalist, who worked for the BBC for over a decade as a finance expert on BBC Breakfast before switching to her own show on Channel 4, says she snapped her arm in two in a fall outside her home during recent bad weather.
Steph, recently announced as one of the stars on the new show Bear Hunt, took to Instagram and said: "So I have some news for you. I slipped on the ice last Friday, hit the deck and broke my arm."

Steph said it was "probably the most painful thing" that had ever happened to her, and added: "You're literally about to see all the things I did on Bear Hunt which were way more dramatic and scary that walking outside my front door; yet it was walking outside my front door that led to me snapping my arm in two."
Steph also showed photo of herself in A&E with piles of her new book, Dead Line. Steph now has a successful podcast, The Rest is Money and has joined the cast of Netflix show, Celebrity Bear Hunt, hosted by survival expert Bear Grylls and Dancing on Ice presenter Holly Willoughby.
