Stacey Solomon's future on Loose Women has been revealed by her co-star after an 18-month absence. After missing a year and a half of shows, it seems unlikely that Stacey will return as a full-time panellist on the ITV show.

The 34 year old was last seen on the popular ITV daytime show in 2022, before she went on maternity leave. She gave birth to her fifth child, Belle, her third with husband Joe Swash, in February 2023. Stacey made a comeback to the programme in November 2023, but has since stepped back from regular appearances.

This has left fans wondering about Stacey's future on the panel. However, during a chat with The Sun, her Loose Women co-star Linda Robson revealed that with five children and a successful career on TV with her show Renovation Rescue, Stacey is simply "too busy."

Linda, 66, put an end to any speculation about a potential return when she told the publication: "She's not going to be a regular anymore? I don't think so, but you never know."

She added: "I would love her to come back, she's a really good Loose Woman - she's really honest. But I think she's got too much on. She's got her own series and her and Joe are out in their little house. She's still really welcome but she's just so busy."

The telly favourite first joined the Loose Women panel in 2016, quickly becoming a hit with viewers. However, in December 2022, Stacey took a step back and embarked on an extended break from the show, reports the Mirror.

After welcoming her daughter Belle into the world, she was soon back to work, juggling two shows, Sort Your Life Out on the BBC and Renovation Rescue for Channel 4.

Towards the end of 2023, whispers began to circulate that Stacey had "outgrown" Loose Women, as an insider spilled to Woman's Own that she might be considering a significant change. "She's outgrown the show. It's no longer right for Stacey. Loose Women takes up a lot of her time. If she were to leave, it would free her time up a little, especially if she has to be away for longer periods of time with her own shows", the source revealed.

ITV was quick to quash the rumours that Stacey had left Loose Women for good, teasing fans with the promise of her return: "These claims are not true. We are looking forward to welcoming Stacey back onto the show soon."

True to their word, she was back in the Loose Women studio the following month.

Stacey didn't shy away from admitting that her schedule was packed: "It's been crazy because Belle was a wonderful surprise, but what that meant was that I had to fit my filming schedule into a very short period of time. I've just been up and down the country with Sort Your Life Out and filming another show so I haven't been able to even get into town," she confessed.
