Stacey Solomon reveals the snacks getting her through night feeds
Stacey Solomon recently welcomed her fifth child and shared a heartwarming photo of her newborn surrounded by her siblings and dad Joe Swash.
The Loose Women panellist has also revealed on Instagram the snacks that have kept her going during challenging night feeds, posting a clip of herself holding a glass of ice cold water with a straw and a packet of M&Ms. She also posted some words of encouragement to other mums who have barely slept after being up all night feeding.
"Goodnight everyone...," Stacey wrote on her post. "The cluster feeds have come to an end and she's settled. I'm ready for the night feeds! Icy water and chocolate are getting me through.
"To anyone else about to go to bed knowing they'll be up in 2 hours you've got this Mumma! You're doing incredible. Keep going. Lots of love from me and this little pickle."
Stacey has yet to confirm her daughter's name, after sharing on social media that her new bundle of joy's dark thick hair has taken her and Joe by surprise.
"You literally flew into our world…," Stacey wrote, "and none of us can quite believe your thick dark head of hair that we just can’t get over. We can't believe your [sic] here. Welcome to the world beautiful girl, thank you for the last few months in my tummy, we can’t wait to love you forever and ever we are so grateful we get to be your family."
Stacey added on her Instagram stories: "Hi, I just wanted to come on and say hi and thank you for all your lovely messages. A lot of you have been making me laugh, you’re like, 'where did all that hair come from?'.
"We don't know, I literally pulled her out and was like, 'Joe, she's got hair'. She's nearly got more hair than Rose and it's really dark."
Stacey is mum to Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from former relationships, while Joe is dad to teenage son Harry, 15, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Emma Sophocleous.
Stacey and Joe are also parents to Rex and Rose.
