The 34 year old presenter, who is married to Joe Swash, often shares updates about her life with her followers on Instagram. She took to the platform on Saturday to seek advice following an incident that she said had happened at her home, Pickle Cottage, in Essex.

She posted footage of herself requesting "help" from fans. Stacey said in the video that she had "burnt" herself whilst baking some bread. She also expressed concern about it scarring her stomach and suggested that it was "stingy".

The Loose Women panelist said: "I need your help and guidance. I burnt myself this morning. Basically, I was making bread - who do I think I am? - and I'd just been to the gym. Come back in the house, was making bread, put it in the oven, went to pull it out and pulled it too far, and where I was wearing my gym kit, it went straight into my stomach."

She continued in the video: "So I don't know if anyone else's brain is like this - it never registers burns like it does any other pain. So it went into my stomach and I was like 'Is that hot? Should that be hot? Should it be hurting? Oww'."

Stacey added: "I wasn't immediately 'oww,' like I had a whole thought process before 'oww,' and I pushed it away." And she went on to suggest that she felt as though she should "quickly get something cool on it, put some burns cream on it [and] dress it" following the incident.

She said: "I've just literally opened it up and I'm like 'ah what have I done?'. So if you've got any goods tips for like what to put on burns so they don't scar for the future or like reduce scarring and how to reduce the stingy-ness of it, that would be really helpful. It's right on the bloomin' crease of my tummy as well as like every time I bend down I'm like 'oooh'."

Stacey followed-up by sharing a photo that showed the burn on her stomach. She wrote over it: "Here it is. Honestly I'm so clumsy like this." Alongside the mark on her skin, she wrote: "The dots from the grill."

She added: "Please send any little healing remedies you know." Stacey went on to tease alongside a laughing emoji: "Hopefully it will settle down and look like extra abs in the future."

The NHS states: "Appropriate first aid must be used to treat any burns or scalds as soon as possible. This will limit the amount of damage to your skin." The health service offers first aid advice on its website for such circumstances.

It includes cooling the affected area, placing cling film over the burn and taking paracetamol to address any pain. It adds: "If your burn or scald is mild and treated at home, it normally heals without the need for further treatment."

The advice provided by the NHS includes going to A&E for "large" burns and deep burns of any size that cause white or charred skin, for example. It recommends visiting the department if there are "any signs of shock" such as "clammy" skin, sweating, rapid breathing and dizziness.
