Stacey Dooley's anger at Strictly boyfriend Kevin Clifton saying 'you've done me dirty'
Stacey Dooley took to social media to let her Strictly boyfriend Kevin Clifton and her fans know that he had 'done her dirty'. Forty one-year-old professional dancer Kevin posted a photograph of Stacey after her debut as Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story, but Stacey was less than happy with the snap.
The photo, taken outside of London’s famous Gielgud Theatre, is of Kevin lifting Stacey — dressed in a black leather jacket with her signature auburn hair flowing behind her — in the air. Kevin captioned the photo: “Baby I’m so bloody proud of you. West End Superstar! What a debut!” But the West End superstar herself was unimpressed with the shot, commenting below “You’ve done me dirty with this pic.”
Fans don't need to worry about their bond though, because she finished her comment saying: “stillllll ILYSM [I Love You So Much].” Kevin, who is currently on tour with the theatre production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, knows a thing or two about treading the boards in a musical since he made his West End debut in 2010 and has starred in many productions since then.
The couple — who won Strictly together in 2018 — have one-year old daughter Minnie who Stacey calls her: “best little pal,” and it does not seem like one unflattering Instagram photo will shake their bond.
This year has been a chaotic one for the couple as Stacey had to go to America to shoot the latest series of her show, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over. Kevin showed his devotion to both Stacey and their baby, as when Stacey got to America she felt like she was not ready to be away from Minnie, and Kevin jetted out immediately with their daughter so they could be together as a family.
She posted a snap of her trailer to her Instagram saying: “Kev had to live in here for 3 weeks reading the same tiger book over and over." Stacey then added that while it had been "chaos" the trailer life had also been "so fun."
The couple have said publicly that they do not plan on getting married, as Stacey revealed that it's not "massively important" to her.
In an episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, she alluded to the fact that Kevin has also been married three times before, saying : “obviously it's very well documented Kev’s done it a couple of times before so you do have to bear that in mind. Coming down the aisle, 'Hello everyone, I know what you're all thinking.”
She added that marriage has never been something she's "dreamt about.” Although they’re both in highly demanding productions at the moment, Kevin also hinted that the pair may be looking to expand their family, with him revealing that they're "already talking about Minnie needing a brother or sister".
