Stacey Dooley's acclaimed documentary Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA has been officially renewed for a second season.

The series will consist of three episodes, each lasting 60 minutes. Each episode will follow Stacey living with different people somewhere in the USA.

While these people haven't been revealed yet, the series will again explore themes around modern relationships and family life, touching on love, marriage, parenting, and money. The series will air on Channel W and UKTV later this year.

Emile Nawagamuwa, commissioning executive of UKTV, commented: "It's fantastic to see Stacey head back to the US for more sleepovers. Now more than ever families are playing by their own rules and seeing the US, so familiar yet so different, through Stacey's eyes is an incredibly compelling proposition."

Meanwhile, W channel director Adam Collings said: "Stacey's wit, warmth and ability to have insightful conversations with individuals has made this show a big favourite with the W audience. The series offers a unique opportunity to get an indepth look at different types of family life and I'm thrilled that we've been able to extend it further."

The first season followed Stacey staying in Oklahoma with Autumn — a nine-year-old YouTuber who makes gun content — and her parents.

She also stayed with Mya and Kennedy, a transgender mum and dad in Virginia, and Cheryl and Quran, a Georgian couple with a 37-year age gap.

Dooley previously opened up about the struggles of filming the previous season of this docuseries while she was pregnant: "I was actually pregnant when we were filming, and I had just stopped feeling sick!"

She gave birth earlier this year with Kevin Clifton as the couple welcomed their baby Minnie to the world.
