Stacey Dooley opens up about taking part in The Masked Dancer while pregnant
The Masked Dancer's Stacey Dooley has opened up about taking part on the show while pregnant.
Dooley was the third celebrity to be unmasked on ITV on Saturday night (September 17) after appearing as Prawn Cocktail on the dance show.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Stacey, who recently announced that she was expecting her first child with partner Kevin Clifton, took to Instagram after being unmasked to share a behind-the-scenes snap of her time on The Masked Dancer.
The Strictly star shared a photograph of herself eating a bag of prawn cocktail crisps in a hoodie labelled "PRAWN", along with the caption: "A dancing, preggo prawn.
"You're WELCOME," she continued the caption.
She used the post to thank the choreographers and crew, but also to apologise to the show's runner after hinting that she had been suffering from morning sickness during the show.
"The choreographers were such sweethearts, and the entire crew BTS. Ta so much. So fun! (Also, so sorry to my gorgeous runner, I just know my dressing room must've stunk of 1st trimester sickness)."
"You know, I had the time of my life. I loved it, I loved it! I just wanted to pretend to be like a daft, drunk, annoying aunt," Dooley told presenter Joel Dommett after being unmasked on Saturday's show.
"It's been a scream, it's been a total, total scream. Really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for being really lovely."
The journalist shared the news that she was expecting her first child via her social media with a polaroid photograph of her cradling her baby bump.
"Gaaaaaaang….. We are having a baby. So bloody delighted. Kev, you're magic, I love youuuu," she captioned her announcement.
