A Source Says Justin Timberlake Isn't Letting "the Britney Fans Get Him Down"
Justin Timberlake is, apparently, trying not to let Britney Spears fans "get him down" amid her 2011 song "Selfish" rising in the charts following the release of his song of the same name.
“Justin hasn’t been letting the Britney fans get him down,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He believes his music and performance will speak for itself and is looking forward to connecting with his fans from the stage again.”
Meanwhile, another insider tells Us Weekly that Justin is “very much on a path forward” and isn’t getting “sidetracked by the negativity. He’s so excited to be making music again and doing what he loves. He made sure everything was perfect before teasing the new album.”
This insider intel comes amid Justin saying “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely fucking nobody” during a performance in NYC—just days after Britney Spears posted a video of him on Fallon, shouted out his song, and seemingly apologized for comments in her memoir.

Britney's account has been made private, but she wrote "I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry. I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish.’ It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too.”
