Soap legend is second I’m A Celeb star to land in Australia joining McFly’s Danny Jones
Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall has landed in Australia ahead of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The 42-year-old star is best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap for 26 years.
Alan beamed as he landed in Brisbane Airport, clad in an all-black ensemble while pushing his suitcase. He told The Mirror: "I'm just here to play golf. It's a long way to come but I am an avid fan of...golf. Camping? Camping has got nothing to do with it, I am not going to be camping on the golf course!" It comes after McFly's Danny Jones was the first campmate to arrive Down Under, flashing a smile for the cameras as he walked through Brisbane airport following a lengthy day of travelling.
The McFly star was on the same flight as Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers - who are all hosting the new I'm A Celeb spin-off show this year. And reuniting after the journey, Sam and Joel greeted Danny with a hug.

While the celebrities touched down at lunchtime on Sunday back in the UK, it was nearing 10pm in Australia - a later arrival than planned as their plane was delayed to landing due to weather issues.
The plane was reportedly scheduled to arrive at 8:56pm local time, but severe rain, thunder and lightening meant that the Brisbane Airport tarmac was closed and flights had to hold fire on landing - according to The Sun. A tannoy announcement at the airport allegedly said “tarmac is closed which means bags can’t be unloaded”. They said it will continue to operate properly once the storm has passed.
Show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who were snapped enjoying breakfast together on Sunday morning, are already there as they gear up to host the iconic show next weekend.
Ant arrived this weekend, while Dec was the first to touch down as he flew over earlier in the week with his wife, Ali, and their two children.
Set to join Alan and Danny in the jungle are a number of rumoured contestants, including Coleen Rooney, wife of footballer Wayne Rooney and known for her infamous Wagatha Christie trial with Rebekah Vardy. Tulisa Contostavlos, former X Factor judge and N Dubz singer, is also tipped to make a TV comeback on the show.
Boxing legend Barry McGuigan is another name in the mix, stepping in as the sportsman of the group after Ally McCoist dropped out. Bookies currently have Danny as the favourite to win, following in the footsteps of his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter who won the show back in 2011.
Love Island's Maura Higgins is also reportedly set to spice things up down under, continuing her reality TV journey by joining the I'm a Celebrity camp. And adding to the list of celebs, internet sensation GK Barry, and ballroom queen Oti Mabuse, formerly of Strictly Come Dancing fame, are also anticipated arrivals in the Australian wilderness.
