Samsung is renowned for their smart TVs - and they are about to get a lot smarter. The tech giant has announced the launch of its newest and greatest TVs, including the flagship QLED 8K QN990F.

This new model offers instant info about what's available to watch, can translate foreign language movies in real time, and will help you easily find what to watch. Samsung Vision AI is the power behind the upgrade, and it aims to make your telly feel like a powerful PC, reports the Mirror.

You can tell Samsung AI what you want to see on the screen, such as a sunset on a beach, and it will turn its black screen into the picture you had in mind.

The new gogglebox can also link up to other smart devices you might own to show the real-time health of your home. Samsung claims the TV can even automatically dim the lights should someone fall asleep in front of the screen, and alerts will pop up if it spots something wrong in your house.

As if that wasn't smart enough, the Korean company's new televisions will have full access to Microsoft's new Copilot service. This partnership will allow users to explore personalised recommendations and seamlessly search for relevant information about onscreen content.

The best audio and picture possible is another promise of Samsung's new device. Better 8K upscaling and cinema-style upgrades including Adaptive Sound Pro and Color Booster Pro are sure to have users going for the upgrade.

Its new super slim design not only looks slick, but makes the TV easier to mount on your wall. “Samsung sees TVs not as one-directional devices for passive consumption but as interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs,” said SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

“With Samsung Vision AI, we’re reimagining what screens can do, connecting entertainment, personalisation, and lifestyle solutions into one seamless experience to simplify your life.”

Samsung's new TVs will launch in the UK later this year. Prices are yet to be confirmed.
