'Smallville' actress Allison Mack released from prison

According to Federal Bureau of Prisons online records, former 'Smallville' actress Allison Mack was released from prison on July 3. CNN reports that Mack, a high-ranking member of the NXIVM cult, was sentenced to a three-year prison term in 2021. In 2018, Mack was arrested along with other leaders of the cult. At the time, NXVIM founder Keith Raniere was also arrested and later convicted on racketeering charges. In 2020, Raniere received a 120-year prison sentence. According to prosecutors, some women in the secretive cult were branded with both Raniere and Mack's initials.
