Shop Cat Deeley's £35.99 Zara leather mini skirt from This Morning
From H&M to Boden, & Other Stories to Mango, Cat Deeley's This Morning wardrobe is a one-stop shop for the best high-street fashion – and every so often we can't believe the affordability of a piece she wears. Case in point: the glossy black leather mini skirt she wore to present the ITV breakfast show today (Thursday 6 February).
Cat chose Zara's new leather-effect style, with its mid-waist skirt, mock welt front pockets, flattering flared hem and edgy metal buttons running down the front. To soften this cool statement piece, she teamed it with a navy sweater with an asymmetrical turtleneck, courtesy of Mango (and also just £49.99, despite looking far more expensive), and suede knee-high boots.
We love how Cat styled her leather mini skirt, which is currently still available on the Zara website in all sizes from XS to XL, but come spring we'll be swapping out the heavier knit for an argyle cardigan or a silky lightweight shirt.
This is one of those buys that will make an instant impact yet also go with everything you already own, in all colours and textures (we particularly love it with knitwear, a la Cat). Shoes-wise, it's the same story – we'll be wearing ours with preppy heeled loafers and slingbacks – before finishing off with our favourite gold hoop earrings and a slick of cherry-red lip oil.
