Sharon Stone, 64, showcases ageless style at Cannes in two-in-one outfit

Sharon Stone wowed fans on the red carpet at Cannes last night as she dramatically ditched the train of her Dolce and Gabbana gown.

The actor, 64, looked stunning as she graced the red carpet for the premiere of Forever Young during the 75th Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.

Stone made onlookers do a double take as she swiftly ditched the extra length of blue and white fabric attached at her hips.

With a little assistance from models Sam Webb and Adam Senn, dressed in suits, the Catwoman star was unbuttoned from her overskirt with ease as fans erupted into applause.

The sleek dress beneath featured a daring split at the back, revealing the star's legs and stiletto heels.

The star was embracing her naturally greying hair with a slicked back style, and completed her look with stunning diamond and sapphire drop earrings.

It was no surprise to see Stone in Dolce and Gabbana, as she has been starring in a campaign for the fashion house's Devotion Bags, alongside the models Webb and Senn.

The Basic Instinct star has been working in movies since Woody Allen cast her in Stardust in 1980.

And she does not seem to be slowing down at all as she now starring as Kaley Cuoco's mother in the second season of the hit series The Flight Attendant.

Stone shared one of her favourite images from the night on Instagram, as she took centre stage on the red carpet with Webb and Senn looking on.

Fans could not wait to comment on how elegant she looked, and how other stars should take note of her red carpet style.

One posted: "Kardashians take a lesson. This is what y’all simply don’t have. Class , style & elegance."

Another replied: "You looked SO elegant!!! Classy!" While a third wrote: "Stunning! All class always."
