6 ways to have sex quietly
Having sex is all about self-expression and freedom (and your partner of course) but how on earth can you do all that while keeping shtum?
33% of us start searching for 'how to have sex quietly' as the Christmas season arrives, and lots of us will miss out on sex over Christmas because we're in the bedroom next to our in-laws, or on blow up beds in the lounge or, even worse, sharing a room with a relative or someone else in our Christmas bubble.
However, having to keep quiet shouldn't have to mean missing out on intimacy with our partner, so we've put together our favourite tips on how to keep the passion from reaching fever-pitch volume wise.

1. Do it in doggy
Not only does this position allow for deep penetration it also provides you with a handy mouth muffler, the mattress (or the pillow). Bury your head into whatever part of the bed it is touching and let those little moans out into the foam — the rest of the house will be none the wiser.
2. Use a gag
It's cliche but it works. Using a tie, a sock, or even investing in a gag (we've handily popped one below) means that you can engage in some passion with your partner without having to continuously slap your hand over your mouth.
3. Do it in the shower

4. Get off the bed
If it's the worry of the headboard or the old springs at grandma's house that is stopping you getting jiggy, then get rid of the problem all together and move to the floor, or a chair, to hot things up. Spreading your duvet out on the floor makes for a comfy, and quiet, love nest and moving to another piece of furniture allows for further experimentation and the opportunity to get creative with positions.
5. Kiss, kiss, kiss!
If it's that final crescendo that stops you from having sex then kiss you partner as you orgasm. It's sexy, it's pleasurable and it means that your moans will be muffled by your partner's mouth and visa versa.
6. 69 it
Not only is the 69 a great position, it's also a naturally quieter one because your mouth is otherwise engaged. This way you can both orgasm without waking the neighbours.
