Sex and the City sequel And Just Like That... has confirmed premiere date in trailer
The Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That… will be here just in time for the holidays.
A sneak peek at the long-awaited 10-part show has confirmed it will be coming to HBO Max in the US in December. A UK premiere date will be unveiled in due course.
Sarah Jessica Parker takes viewers behind the scenes of the Sex and the City revival in this new footage, as Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York Goldenblatt and Miranda Hobbes have all-new New York adventures.
This time around, the cast is more diverse as Grey's Anatomy's Sara Ramírez, Jessica Jones actress Sarita Choudhury, Chicago PD's Nicole Ari Parker, Luke Cage's Karen Pittman and American Horror Story star Isaac Cole Powell join Carrie's friendship circle.
Though Kim Cattrall has declined to return as Samantha Jones, other familiar faces will be back. Chris Noth is reprising his role as Carrie's husband Big, while SATC original cast members David Eigenberg, and Evan Handler and Mario Cantone are also appearing.
The late Willie Garson had filmed scenes as Carrie's best friend Stanford Blatch before his tragic death last month.
Sarah Jessica Parker was among those paying tribute to Garson following his death, writing on social media: "It's been unbearable. Sometimes silence is a statement. Of the gravity. The anguish. The magnitude of the loss of a 30 + year friendship.
"A real friendship that allowed for secrets, adventure, a shared professional family, truth, concerts, road trips, meals, late night phone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and all the heartaches and joy that accompany, triumphs, disappointments, fear, rage and years spent on sets (most especially Carrie's apartment) and laughing late into the night as both Stanford and Carrie and Willie and SJ.
Willie. I will miss everything about you."
And Just Like That… will premiere on HBO Max in December 2021.
