Selling Sunset's Jason Oppenheim has addressed rumours about the legitimacy of the real estate careers of each agent in the popular Netflix show.

Series one, two and three of Selling Sunset has focused on Jason, his brother Brett, and their elite agents sell luxury homes to affluent and celebrity clients – with personal drama thrown in.

Jason, the Oppenheim Group owner and broker, has now spoken out amid 'a stream of unfounded accusations' about how much experience the seven female realtors – Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Christine Quinn, Heather Rae Young, Maya Vander and Davina Potratz – have, and whether they are licensed real estate agents.

In a statement issued to House Beautiful UK, alongside documents detailing when each of the real estate agents became licensed and when they joined The Oppenheim Group, Jason said: 'Mary, Heather, Maya, and Christine were licensed and successful real estate agents at The Oppenheim Group many years prior to filming our show.

'Amanza worked with us as a designer, and has been a close friend of Mary’s and mine for many years. Chrishell was a practicing agent at another brokerage, many years previous to filming Selling Sunset. As a licensed agent, Davina had transacted many deals before joining the team in 2018.

'Any insinuation that the agents on our show are not experienced, successful, or licensed, evidences a complete disregard for the facts. Even a superficial investigation would identify previous team photos, hundreds of millions in transacted sales, and more than 50 years of combined licensed real estate experience from these agents.'

Season three of Selling Sunset launched on Netflix earlier this month. While a fourth season is yet to be officially confirmed, it is very much expected. You can stream all three seasons of Selling Sunset on Netflix.
