Selena Gomez is glowing in this fresh-faced throwback

Now, Selena Gomez has been on our screens since she was a wee wipper snapper, and it's true she's never lost her doll-like baby face as she's grown up in front of the world. But you'll forgive me for mistaking her recent Instagram post for a childhood throwback.

Makeup-free and grinning in the sun, the super cute picture just beams out a carefree, childlike energy that certainly kicks any January blues to the curb.

But no, this picture is not from Selena’s Disney days. It's actually a throwback to 2017, and a BTS from her Fetish music video, meaning she'd already be firmly into her 20s. Selena shared the snap to her Instagram simply captioned 'mood' and it's a mood I'd like a slice of please.

Her skin looks so sun-kissed and glowing that it's got me googling flights for warmer climates. While it's hard to tell with the gradient filter, it certainly looks like the musician isn't wearing much makeup at all, and for a good 10 minutes I was convinced she had freckles none of us knew about.

Selena stans however were less pre-occupied with her minimal makeup moment, instantly identifying the shot, and they're convinced it means something is on the way from the star. The comments were quickly filled with anticipation:

The knowing smirk does have a cheeky glint of secrecy now that I look again. It could well be new music, but with that glow I wouldn't be surprised if it was Rare Beauty skincare on the way.
