See Beyoncé Perform With Blue Ivy At Her Christmas Halftime Show

On Christmas Day, Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy was in the stadium for her mum’s first-ever live performance of her Cowboy Carter songs. The show took place during halftime at the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens’ game, and the crowd went wild for their hometown super star.

There was an even bigger reaction when Blue Ivy made an appearance during Beyoncé’s track Texas Hold ‘Em, where she danced alongside her mother and all the backup dancers lined the field to two-step. You can watch the moment here.

The 12-year-old was seen on stage a number of times with her mum as she went on her Renaissance tour in 2023, dancing with her or the other back up dancers.

The younger Carter children, Rumi and Sir, were not spotted at the show. The last time they were seen at a public event, Rumi joined Blue Ivy and Jay-Z at the Super Bowl. They wore fashionable and athletic ensembles, with Blue in a varsity jacket, jeans, and sneakers and Rumi in a Givenchy leather top, skirt, black tights, and boots.

In early December, Blue Ivy made an appearance solo with her parents, joining Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the Los Angeles premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King in Hollywood on December 9.

The twins have mostly been kept out of the spotlight, but in September, Beyoncé gave GQ an email interview that included her thoughts about her kids, why they maintain so much privacy, and how Blue Ivy ended up on stage with her during the Renaissance Tour.

'Blue is an artist,' Beyoncé said. 'She has great taste in music and fashion. She is a fantastic editor, painter, and actress. She has been creating characters since she was three. She’s a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage. Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously, and she earned it. And most importantly, she had fun! We all watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes.'

Beyoncé explained, 'I build my work schedule around my family. I try to only tour when my kids are out of school. I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture, and lifestyles.'

'Raising three kids isn’t easy,' she added. 'The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies, and social lives. My twins are God-sent. Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It’s grounding and fulfilling. My kids come with me everywhere I go. They come to my office after school, and they are in the studio with me. They are in dance rehearsals. It’s natural that they would learn my choreography.'

But once thing the star says she’s 'worked extremely hard on' is making sure her children 'have as much normalcy and privacy as possible,' and that her 'personal life isn’t turned into a brand.'

'It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art,' she concluded. 'I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace.'
