All the secret meanings and tributes to Karl Lagerfeld in the stars' Met Gala manicures
This year's Met Gala theme, as always, links to the spring fashion exhibition at the Museum. For 2023 that's 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty', and as stars walked the red carpet this first Monday in May, some found a novel way to honour the late designer in their red carpet looks.
It was the year of the secret mani message, with lots of little tributes to be found on A-lister nails – if you know where to look.

Sticking with the very-much trending simple nude bases and natural looks, the pair added a Fleur De Lis charm to honour Karl Lagerfeld, matching his tie pin.
