So, how is Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Jen related to Ben Affleck?
Reality TV cast members are no strangers to a surprising celebrity connection; half the cast of Love Island know or are related to someone famous (hi Dani Dyer), Selling Sunset's Chrishell was quite literally married to Justin Hartley, and The Traitors winner Harry was (and still is) in a relationship with Conor Maynard's sister when he went on the show. And now one of the most A-List/reality TV cast crossovers has been revealed, after The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Jen shared she is in fact related to Ben Affleck. Yes, that does mean there are two Jen Afflecks in the world.
Jen is one of the main cast members of Hulu's new series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives which follows the lives of eight members of Utah's MomTok who have their lives turned upside down after a swinging scandal with one of their members Taylor Frankie Paul went viral in 2022.
Jen is a 25-year-old TikToker and mum to two children Nora, two, Lucas, one, and she also happens to be married to Zac Affleck.
Now the surname is no coincidence, Zac is in fact related to Hollywood A-Listers Ben and Casey Affleck. Zack is second cousins with the actors, as his dad Dave Affleck is first cousins with Casey and Ben, and so by marriage Jen is related to the brothers.
However, it turns out Jen has never actually met her famous relatives. "Zac's dad has [met them], when [Ben] was very little. I'm hoping to meet him one day, too!" she revealed while chatting to People.
Jen also touched on the connection she shares with Jennifer Lopez, revealing the pair had the exact same name when Jennifer married Ben in 2022 (the couple have since filed for divorce).
Jen jokes she is the original "Jennifer Affleck" and added, "my name happens to be not only Jen, but Jennifer Lynn Affleck, which is the exact same as JLo. She went from Jennifer Lynn Lopez to Jennifer Lynn Affleck, which is so crazy."
