Wherever Taylor Swift goes the camera follows suit, including while the global superstar is out-and-about supporting her boyfriend, American footballer Travis Kelce, at NFL games. If there's a Kansas City Chiefs fixture and Swift is in attendance, there's no doubt she'll be panned to, so it's no surprise that her game day fashion is provided points for ample discussion. At this point, in fact, her off-duty wardrobe has become as much of a talking point as her bejewelled red carpet attire.

From glitter freckles to braided hairstyles, the pop star's beauty choices have also showcased some major experimentation from Swift. One aspect of her look remains steadfast, however; whether the 35-year-old is rotating Louis Vuitton or Vivienne Westwood, her signature red lip is nearly always the same.

This weekend's broadcast rumbled even further intrigue around the singer's trademark pout. Despite the couple's generous display of PDA following the Chiefs victory over the Buffalo Bills, Swift's bright red lipstick remained completely in tact. Not a smudge in sight.

It's long been speculated that Swift's go-to formula for her iconic cherry pout is Pat McGrath Labs Liquilust Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in shade 'Elson 4' after the pop star showcased the colour in her 2022 'Bejewelled' music video. While there is no solid indication that the star has stayed loyal to this specific lipstick since then, we can confirm firsthand that its pigmented matte formula could withhold a smooch or two. Swift has also previously named Nars' 'Dragon Girl' and the iconic Ruby Woo by MAC as shades she likes to rotate.

With regard to the singer's signature Eras Tour lip shade, which withstood many a three-hour setlist, we have a couple of additional theories. The leading one? That Swift's personal make-up artist Lorrie Turk used stage make-up, specifically formulated professional products for performance, to ensure the star's vibrant stain stayed put throughout her energetic shows.

Now, you won't be surprised to hear that 'Elson 4' is about as difficult to get your hands on as Eras Tour tickets were themselves. The shade is constantly selling out, likely due to its link to Swift, and there's no telling when her dedicated hue will be restocked.

However, that's not to say you can't recreate a near identical smudge-proof look with a similar formula and colour. The key is to opt for a red with a vivid blue undertone in a matte texture that dries to a thin, powder-like finish. Pair with a sharp lip liner in a matching tone to create clean lines and prevent bleeding, and blot away excess once completely dry to ensure a truly transfer-proof result. Cherry lips, crystal skies, indeed.
