A solid 24 years after Sex And The City was first up and running (across NYC sidewalks in Manolo Blahniks, ofc), And Just Like That became our favourite TV show of last year.

In between the drama of Kim Cattrall's exit and Steve and Miranda's scandal, we were completely hooked on the revival, which ran from late 2021 into February 2022. All of which means, we're very into the idea of a second season, which has been confirmed. So, here's everything we know about And Just Like That series 2 from release date, cast, trailer and more.

Is there a trailer for And Just Like That season 2?

The first trailer for And Just Like That season 2 dropped on 26th April and sees Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte back in the Big Apple. The teaser trailer has given some major hints as to what this season will cover. Charlotte's daughter Lily wants to lose her virginity, Miranda and Che still seem to be together and Carrie is having lots of "exit out of grief" sex (her words, not ours).

The trailer ends with the moment we've all been eagerly anticipating... Carrie and Aidan's reunion. Aidan is seen walking up Carrie's famous stairs and the trailer ends there. We need to know what happens next!

The next trailer dropped on the 2nd June 2023, just under three weeks before the second season drops, and reveals exactly how Aidan and Carrie reunite. A 'Remember me?' email is basically the same as a 'U up?' text, right?

What is And Just Like That season 2's release date?

Max has officially confirmed that the new season of And Just Like That will be coming on 22nd June. That's less than two months away!

In a newly shared poster, we see our favourite cast members like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and more reprise their iconic roles and the second season seriously can't come any sooner.

Who will star in season 2 of And Just Like That?

Series show-runner Michael Patrick King spilled some major details of what we can expect for the new season, including some exciting guests stars.

Speaking to EW, King revealed Candice Bergen, who played Carrie's editor at Vogue Enid Frick will be making an appearance. "Candice Bergen is back as Enid, which we're thrilled about because I always loved Enid," he said. "She is a cold, wonderful diva of publishing."

The last time we saw Enid was in the first Sex and The City movie where she featured Carrie in that bridal campaign.

Also joining the cast for a very exciting appearance is icon Gloria Steinem, who will be appearing as herself.

Plus, in a very exciting move, Sam Smith revealed they would be appearing in And Just Like That season two! While they didn't share many details about what the appearance would entail (a performance? A cameo? A new love interest?), we can't wait. "Up to something unholy on set," the official account shared, before replying to a fan, "surprises incoming" and "dreams do come true."

Reprising their roles for this season will, of course, be Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda and Kristin Davis as Charlotte. Also confirmed to be returning this season are Evan Handler, Sara Ramírez, Alexa Swinton, Sarita Choudhury, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone and David Eigenberg.

The BIG news is that Aidan Shaw (!!) AKA Carrie Bradshaw's former partner is set to make a comeback for a major season two character arc. According to Deadline, he will "reunite with former love Carrie Bradshaw" and he is supposedly "set for a substantial, multi-episode arc." We can't cope!

Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the news herself in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. When asked if Aidan would be returning, she said said: "Could be, could be. Well, you know, I can’t be like, cryptic about it anymore."

Given the most recent pictures of Carrie and Aidan holding hands, I think we can safely say John Corbett is definitely returning.

When did And Just Like That end filming?

Filming for And Just Like That season two officially wrapped on 14th April according to none other than SJP, which means we're one step closer to the release of the new season.

Sarah revealed they'd finished filming with a sweet ode to the cast and crew in a new Instagram picture. In the blurry photo, Sarah is seen kissing co-star Nicole Ari Parker, who plays Lisa Todd Wexley, on the cheek.

Sarah captioned the image: "Wrap parties = kissing. But not goodbye. @nicoleariparker you ALWAYS smell so good. @justlikethatmax a season of love. Crew, cast you were ALL heavenly. X, Your SJ."

Um, is the "not goodbye" a hint there could be another season after this one? We hope so!

Are Carrie and Aidan back together in season 2?

It certainly looks that way. On 9th February, the official And Just Like That Instagram account shared images of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan (John Corbett) kissing.

After it was confirmed John Corbett would be returning earlier this year, fans collectively lost their minds about what this could mean about the future of Carrie and Aidan's relationship. Now, after these new pictures, it certainly looks like their relationship could be back on.

Michael Patrick King has also given some insight into Carrie and Aidan's reunion, telling People the pair are "both single" and "open for business" when the series starts out.

When did And Just Like That season 2 start production?

Sarah Jessica Parker shared a first look at the And Just Like That season two script in late 2022. The actress posted a pic of the first episode script, titled 'Episode 201', on Instagram, and it all felt very exciting.

SJP teased in the caption, "Just this much. For now. X, SJ."

The first pictures from the And Just Like That set were released late last year with Carrie and Charlotte taking to the streets of New York.

Carrie is pictured wearing a grey jumpsuit and a JW Anderson pigeon clutch bag, which is giving us a major flashback to the time Mr Big gave Carrie the Judith Leiber swan bag.

Sarah Jessica Parker also shared an up-close picture from the set on her Instagram with a focus on the pigeon bag, of course. She captioned her picture: "First exterior. Streets of NY. X, SJ"

A steady stream of pictures have been released from filming And Just Like That on the streets of New York featuring SJP and the rest of the cast.

And on 14th January, the official And Just Like That Instagram account decided to break the internet, when they shared not one, but FIVE pictures of Carrie and Aidan (John Corbett) holding hands.

The pictures were captioned: "Shh. Don’t tell anyone" and can we just say, we have not recovered since.

When was season 2 of And Just Like That been confirmed?

Season two of And Just Like That was officially confirmed on 22nd April 2022, almost two months after the final episode of season one aired. News broke on social media that we'd be joining Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda in NYC once again.

"And just like that, we're coming back for season two," the announcement video read with the caption, "hello again, lovers…"

Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie, added, "@justlikethatmax Season 2 Thank you to our audience. Plain and simple. You are our heartbeat. We love you so. X, SJ" while Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda, added, "We're coming back for season 2! 👏🤗🎉"

Previously, in a piece with Emmy Magazine, show creator Michael Patrick King hinted at another season. When asked about the possibility of series two he said, "I don't know. As we were working, it always felt like the beginning. It didn't feel like a beginning, middle and an end. So I think it's possible to keep going — if we have enough good stories."

Meanwhile, HBO's chief content officer Casey Bloys also refused to rule out the possibility in an interview with Vulture. "To tell you the truth, it would be a conversation, because I have no idea," he explained when asked about a follow-up series. "They kind of came together to do this. They were all really busy and doing other things. So it is certainly a conversation we’ll have — for sure. But we haven’t decided anything or done anything."
