Did you grow up envying your favorite doll because you wanted her entire wardrobe? Same. Polly Pocket and Bratz dolls ruled my childhood dollhouse. The brands were formative in shaping my current personal style, largely thanks to the dolls' maximalist accessories. Coach recently launched its long-awaited new large Kisslock Frame bag, which went viral after it was showcased during the brand’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear show, and quite frankly, it looks exactly like the grown-up version of my childhood dreams.
Coach’s latest release is based on the “Cashin Carry” from 1969, an archival style designed by Coach’s first lead designer, Bonnie Cashin. This time around, it’s been reimagined as a spacious carryall with a buttery soft glove-tanned leather silhouette. Inside, there is a zip pocket to organize essentials and a detachable leather strap for crossbody wear.
Not only does it have a subtle vintage vibe inspired by traditional coin purses, but the structured shape and kisslock closure make you feel like you’re carrying tiny treasures inside. Growing up, I just know I would have loved to run around, storing bits and bobs I found around the house in this oversized purse. As an adult, I love that it’s large enough to fit my Kindle and other essentials, like those 10 rotating lipsticks I carry with me at all times.
Plus, it also feels so classically New York—the founding place of Coach—where everyone parades around in no less than three random bags at all times. Here, we’re all bag ladies, and perhaps no one gets it as much as Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers.
People on TikTok have been keeping tabs on the release date of this bag ever since Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted with it at the brand’s spring 2025 show back in Sept. 2024. The bag was finally released for the rest of us to enjoy last week, but it sold out the very same day.
Fortunately, the brand has also launched a variety of other styles in this kisslock-themed collection. This includes a kisslock backpack and a dino frame bag (also sold out). Don’t worry—there are also plenty of worthy non-kisslock styles to shop for spring, too.
From its signature bag charms that went viral after the spring/summer 2025 show to this release that had people counting down the days to its drop, what can I say? Vevers is the Gen-Z whisperer, and he’s fulfilling childhood nostalgia one release at a time. Until it’s back in stock (date TBD), shop some of our favorite new Coach launches below.
