Scott Mills makes sweet Welsh Christmas update in a first for his family
Radio presenter Scott Mills, who is set to take over the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show from Zoe Ball, has revealed he is spending Christmas in Wales in a first for his family. Scott is currently starring in Jack and the Beanstalk at Swansea's Grand Theatre after marrying his Welsh husband Sam Vaughan earlier this year.
Speaking on BBC Radio Wales Scott revealed he would be spending Christmas in the Gower. He said: "I can't wait. So, my family have never spent Christmas away from home, so this is their first one. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
"So they are coming all the way, so they are going to come and see the show, I think Christmas Eve, and then we're going to spend it in the Gower. My brother can't stop googling it because he's like it just looks beautiful ."

The beginning of Scott and Sam's romance dates back to 2016 when their paths crossed at a radio event in Wales; a year later, they embarked on a romantic relationship. They took the significant step of moving in together amidst the lockdowns imposed by the Covid pandemic.
Scott confessed to The Times that it was love from the starting line for him, but Sam, on the other hand, required a bit more convincing. His words captured their connection: "The more time we spent together, the more I could see we were right for each other. I just needed him to see that too."
"So when we had the conversation about taking it forward and he said "I'm not ready", I was devastated. Being friends with someone you're in love with doesn't work. We didn't speak for six months."
Earlier this year, in June 2024, they tied the knot in a breathtaking ceremony in Vilanova i la Geltru, Spain. The romantic nuptials took place at Xalet Del Nin, a Mediterranean villa overlooking the sea near Barcelona, which was attended by many famous faces. The couple also appeared on hit BBC series, Race Across the World which they won, beating actor Kola Bokinni and his cousin, Mary Ellen.
