Save 24% on an Xbox Series S in the Black Friday Sales 2022
The Xbox Series X and S consoles have been out for a few years now, and while the former has been difficult to come by, there are opportunities to grab the S at a reduced price on Black Friday 2022.
The successors to the Xbox One, the Xbox Series X and S are Microsoft's hardware offerings if you want to get into the latest generation. The X is a lot more powerful, but the S is the affordable alternative – and comfortably cheaper than Sony's lowest-priced PlayStation 5 console.
Which one is best for you will vary depending on your preferences and needs.
The Xbox Series X technically delivers the best performance if that's the thing that matters the most to you. But if it's just about the games, you like buying titles digitally, and you don't care about 'true 4K gaming' (which won't matter to a lot of people), then the disc-free and considerably smaller Xbox Series S is of terrific value, especially when you factor in Microsoft's excellent Game Pass subscription service, which includes all first-party titles from the day of the release.
Both versions play the same games, from newer releases including Life Is Strange: True Colors, Elden Ring and Deathloop, to familiar older titles that look better than ever on the Series X and S like Sea of Thieves.
Xbox Series X deals - Black Friday 2022
You can now buy the Xbox Series X fairly easily, which hasn’t always been the case, but at the time of writing we can’t find any retailers selling it for less than the usual £449.99 price.
It’s worth keeping an eye on retailers like Amazon, John Lewis, Argos and Microsoft’s own online store in the coming days, but we’d be surprised if there are any significant deals on the most powerful Xbox console.
Xbox Series S deals - Black Friday 2022
It’s a very different story for the Xbox Series S, though. Usually priced at £249.99, the Xbox Series S, which comes in white and is 60% smaller than the Xbox Series X, can currently be picked up for as little as £189.99 on Amazon. That’s a £60 (24%) saving.
These are the current Xbox Series S deals on just the console.
If you're interested in Game Pass, Amazon is offering a three-month subscription in addition to the console for £222.98.
Amazon is also offering a FIFA 23 Xbox Series S bundle, which gets you a digital code for FIFA 23: Ultimate Edition along with the console for £243.98.
Xbox Series X|S games deals - Black Friday 2022
If you're an Xbox Series X or S owner, then you might be on the lookout for some discounts on games.

If you’re looking to pick up some Xbox accessories on Black Friday, you’re in luck. Amazon is selling the Xbox Wireless Controller in a variety of colours for £34.99. That’s a £20 (36%) discount. It’s the same price with Microsoft directly and at Argos.
Microsoft is also selling its Xbox Stereo Headset for £37.99, down from £54.99. That’s a £17 (31%) discount.
