Sarah Ferguson, (dubbed “Fergie” by the press) was born on 15 October 1959 and is the second daughter of Major Ronald Ferguson and Susan, Mrs Hector Barrantes.

She is the former wife of the Queen’s third child Prince Andrew, Duke of York and is the mother of Princess Beatrice, 30, and Princess Eugenie, 28.

Andrew and Sarah were wed at at Westminster Abbey on 23 July 1986 and the bride wore an ivory duchesse satin and beaded wedding dress by British couturier Lindka Cierach and the York Diamond Tiara.

They announced their separation in 1992, but didn’t actually finalise their divorce until 1996. Despite a couple of scandals on Fergie’s part, they remain good friends until this day.
