Samantha Cameron became a political fashion icon during her tenure as the Prime Minister’s wife.

So it wasn’t much of a shock when she announced she was launching a clothing brand named after her children. The full Cefinn Spring/Summer 2017 collection launches today.

Consisting of 36 pieces that retail for between £100 and £300, the range features simple tailored pieces for “busy women who love fashion.”

A tomato red shade is a staple throughout the collection along with more neutral tones including khaki and grey. Each piece would work perfectly for the office with the boxy jackets and funnel neck tops being real stand-outs.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times Style, Sam Cam revealed that the collection had been three years in the making after she began lessons in pattern cutting and sewing within the confines of 10 Downing Street.

She admitted that she has been “terrified” about the public reaction ever since she announced the brand a few months ago but is determined to make it a success: “I don’t want to look back on my life and think, ‘You’ve always wanted to do this and you never did it.'”

Vogue editor Anna Wintour was one of the first people who got to view the collection, giving “great advice” to the designer.

You can buy the range from the Cefinn site as well as online at Net-a-Porter and in-store at Selfridges.
