Salma Hayek’s Daughter, Valentina, Wore Her 1997 Dress to the Oscars
Salma Hayek and her daughter had an emotional moment together at the 2023 Oscars, when Valentina Paloma Pinault walked the carpet in a her mom's vintage dress.
The two looked stunning in coordinating red looks while posing for photos on the champagne-colored carpet at Los Angeles's Dolby Theatre Sunday.
Hayek wore an orangey-red sequined gown from Gucci, which featured a halter-neck strap and a fringe skirt made of glittering sequins. She accessorized with a golden clutch and Boucheron diamond jewelry.
Pinault, meanwhile, wore a strapless red velvet Isaac Mizrahi gown with an ample skirt, which was originally worn by Hayek at the 1997 Fire and Ice Ball. The 15-year-old accessorized simply with a silver Jackie 1961 handbag by Gucci, a thin diamond necklace, and diamond hoop earrings.
When Hayek wore the gown, she elevated it with a diamond choker necklace, diamond studs, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a red-and-black beaded mini handbag. Her red lip, red manicure, and rosy eye shadow perfectly matched the dress.
After the Oscars, Hayek shared a video on Instagram of her and her daughter walking the carpet in their glamorous dresses. She also shared a hilarious clip of her eating in her kitchen with her gown unzipped from the back.
Hayek shares her only daughter with husband François-Henri Pinault, whom she's been married to since 2009.
