When it comes to people who defy the laws of ageing, we can't not mention Salma Hayek. Any 90s throwback pic (and there are many) prove that she really hasn't aged a day. Part of it, is that she hasn't really switched up her signature look – why ruin a good thing, right? Which is why we were surprised to see she'd chopped off her signature long mane in favour of a retro wavy bob hair transformation. What's more, she's clearly taken some inspo from legendary style icon, Jackie Kennedy, for the look.
To celebrate the opening of the new Gucci store in NYC, the actress took the opportunity to go full glam, in a sophisticated – but jazzy – suit. What we're living for though, is the new hair:
If you weren't ready to jump on the bob train before, her new jaw-grazing retro haircut might just do it.
Salma joins the bob club that now includes the likes of Rose Byrne, Zendaya and Ciara (just to name a few), but we're particularly loving her retro take on the trend. The magnificent bouffant look was created by hairstylist, Jennifer Yepez, who nailed the 60s vibe.
Some skeptics are unsure on whether Salma has officially chopped off her long strands or whether this is some kind of styling wizardry, and let's not rule out a wig here. But either way, it's the shortest look we've seen Salma wear in years, and we're really hoping it's the real deal because we're here for it.
