Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan patch up; to produce Go Goa Gone sequel together?
Dinesh Vijan parted ways from Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films in 2014.
Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan were partners in Illuminati Films and have produced many successful movies such as Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail.
However, they witnessed some failures with movies like Happy Ending and Lekar Hum Deewana Dilas well.
Ultimately, in 2014, Dinesh parted ways from Illuminati Films in 2014 following creative differences with Saif.
On this, Saif had earlier said, “Isn’t it better this way? We don’t have to share the control. Now, I can produce the films I believe in and Dinesh can also go ahead with subjects he feels strongly about.
It can get annoying when you have to do things you don’t want to.” Illuminati Films was then put in a backburner as Saif started concentrating more on his acting career.
On the other hand, Dinesh went on to kickstart Maddock Films which has seen success with Hindi Medium and failure with Vijan’s directorial debut Raabta. Now, it looks like a patch up is in the works between Saif and Dinesh, according to a leading daily.
The two friends have reached out to each other and have been talking about a reunion collaboration. A source said to the daily, “Their sensibilities do match on many levels and they are keen to work things out. After all, when they worked together, their banner was responsible for some really good and successful cinema.”
They might be working together on Go Goa Gone’s sequel. Meanwhile, Saif is currently busy with the shoot of the upcoming web-series Sacred Games.
