If, like me, you're a sucker for a good coffee, you'll love Sage's Barista Express coffee machine. It comes with everything you need to make café-style coffee at home – and it's currently on sale for Amazon Prime Day.
After browsing a myriad of coffee machine deals on Amazon this morning (while sipping my morning cup of coffee, may I add), I was pleased to see the Sage Barista Express on offer. I've already got this impressive machine, and now I'm excited for others to experience it too.
One of Sage's most popular offerings, the Barista Express is currently on offer at just shy of £450, down a whopping £180 from £630 (that's almost 30 per cent off).
What's so good about the Sage Barista Express coffee machine?
If you ask me, the Sage Barista Express is one of the best bean-to-cup coffee machines on the market. I've tried similar options (the Breville Barista Max is perhaps the closest match), as well as plenty of pod coffee machines (the Nespresso Citiz being my favourite) but Sage always comes out on top.
Featuring an integrated grinder with 18 external grind settings and 10 internal burr adjustments, the Barista Express delivers just the right amount of freshly ground coffee to ensure maximum flavour in every cup. If you haven't tried a Sage coffee before, you'll be able to taste the difference in an instant – trust me.
Unlike standard coffee machines, the Barista Express also has a low-pressure pre-infusion that gradually increases pressure to draw out flavours evenly, resulting in a creamy, caramel-coloured espresso that looks as good as your takeaway coffees (if not better).
One of my favourite features of this machine has got to be the powerful pro steam wand. It performs at a level that allows complete control over the consistency of the milk, resulting in better texture than any pod machine can offer. I'll admit, it does require a bit of learning, but after some practice, I've become a bit of a latte art pro.
