Rylan Clark makes subtle remark over Dan Neal split and says 'I feel terrible'
Rylan Clark has admitted feeling "terrible" after he "crashed" a romantic moment live on air and later made a subtle remark about his ex-husband.
During a segment of his BBC Radio 2 show this weekend, Rylan shared that a listener named Matt had contacted him for assistance with a touching marriage proposal to his girlfriend, Theresa.
Rylan then called the restaurant where the couple were dining and requested to speak with Theresa. He explained that Matt had informed him that it was her dream to perform a duet with Britain's Got Talent icon Susan Boyle.

Unfortunately, Rylan didn't have SuBo on "speed dial", but he did play a role in the romantic moment, broadcasting the proposal live on air. Her dog, Ringo, soon appeared in the restaurant with the question attached around his neck.
As the scene unfolded over the radio and Theresa ultimately agreed to marry him, Rylan could be heard cheering and offering her hearty congratulations.
Rylan said: "Oh my god. This is so lovely. I feel...I mean, I feel terrible. I've crashed your moment, but it's so beautiful. Theresa, you had no idea this was about to happen?
"And your dog's there, your dad's there. It's absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations, beautiful. You're gonna be a bride!"
Yet, it would appear that the much-loved radio star's own wedding to former husband Dan Neal wasn't far from his mind, with Rylan saying: "Aw, I love love! Always the bridesmaid. Well, once the bride."
The former duo, Rylan and Dan, made headlines when they got engaged in 2014 after a fateful meeting on 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side'. They went on to exchange vows in 2016.
Marking a milestone, they became the first gay couple to present 'This Morning' together. Initially crossing paths during a Big Brother exit interview, the romance with the former Met police officer was not to last. Rylan confirmed to The Sun in 2021 that their marriage had come to an end.
It was also revealed on the BBC series, 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour', that he'd had "two dates in the last two years", but he also said, while taking part in a blind date on the show: "Hopefully my luck with men is about to change."
