Ruth Langsford's mum rushed to hospital after nasty fall as Loose Women star gives update
Ruth Langsford has revealed that her beloved mother, Joan, has been rushed to hospital after suffering a nasty fall. The Loose Women star, 64, shared a video of her mum, where she is seen dancing in her kitchen while peeling potatoes, on social media as she revealed the worrying news.
Ruth wrote: "No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas ….she’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis! She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon."
She continued: "This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too. Put’s life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas! X x."

Ruth's co-star Nadia Sawalha wrote: "Awww Ruth ..wishing you all well xxx" and This Morning's Juliet Sear said: "Bless her sending all the love and healing vibes xxx."
Lizzie Cundy commented: "Sending you so much love . Hoping Mum will be back dancing very soon. Sending huge hugs my darling."
Fans also sent their support as one person wrote: "Oh Ruth so sorry to hear this and really hope you get her back and dancing along to Anton in your kitchen again soon. Much love."
Another said: "Bless her heart xxx I’m sure you’ll be looking after her well. Wishing her a speedy recovery X Sending you a big cuddle too."
Ruth is incredibly close with her mum and regularly documents them spending time together. When Joan turned 92 last year, Ruth gushed: "Happy Birthday to my gorgeous Mum….92 years young! Love you Mummy."
It comes after Ruth Langsford appeared to make a dig at her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes during a segment on Loose Women last week, which led to an awkward pause before a break.
Ruth, who announced her split from former This Morning co-star Eamonn, also 64, in May, returned to the popular ITV chat show on Tuesday (December 10) following a trip to Australia for I'm A Celeb. The couple had been together for over two decades and share a 22 year old son, Jack Holmes.
Ruth joined panelists Coleen Nolan, Kelly Holmes, and Mariella Frostrup, where the topic turned to how divorced parents deal with certain situations. Ruth said: "I think it's very selfish when you hear parents say well if they are divorced then I'm not coming to your wedding if he's coming or if she is there and I just think it's so selfish isn't it because it is their day."
Jumping into the conversation, Mariella added: "That's a whole other subject isn't it? How to divorce well." Ruth then cheekily referenced her recent parting ways with Eamonn as she retorted: "Oh tell me about it."
Her comment caught everyone off guard, leading to an abrupt segue to a commercial as Ruth declared: "Anyway funnily it's now time for a break".
