Ruth Langsford reveals birthday tablescape for son's 21st celebrations
Ruth Langsford has revealed the special birthday tablescape she created to celebrate her son turning 21.
Taking to instagram, the ITV presenter shared a video showcasing the birthday spread which she created for her son, Jack, who she shares with husband Eamonn Holmes.
Ruth has covered the dining table with napkins featuring the number 21 along with birthday plates, spread over a happy birthday tablecloth. Down the centre of the tablescape, Ruth has sprinkled sequins and streamers, all of which co-ordinate with a gold, silver and black colour scheme.
At the head of the table, the number 21 is spelled in silver balloons, while personalised gold stars on either side read, "Happy Birthday Jack".
In a caption, Ruth said that the decorations were an annual ritual, writing, "Had to do my birthday table of course….it’s family tradition!"
She also revealed that the family had been enjoying extended celebrations for the milestone occasion, adding that they'd spent a "wonderful weekend spent celebrating our son Jack’s 21st birthday….where did those years go?!"
Famous friends and some of Ruth's one million followers took to the comments section to send their best wishes and compliment Ruth's decoration efforts.
Gaby Roslin wrote, "Happy Birthday Jack", while a fan added, "Fabulous table Ruth!!"
Ruth has been known to mention her son while presenting This Morning or sitting on the Loose Women panel, but rarely shares photographs of him.
She does, however, sometimes feature her husband Eamonn on her social media accounts, for instance during their visit to Royal Ascot last year.
