Rumer Willis Shares Breastfeeding Photos as She Says She Feels 'Privileged' Journey Has Been 'Filled with Ease'

Rumer Willis is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week in a big way.
On Monday, Aug. 5, the actress, 35, shared a candid Instagram carousel in honor of the holiday, which was filled with pictures and videos of her 16-month-old daughter Louetta breastfeeding. She opened up about her nursing journey, sharing that it has been a "joyful and bonding" experience for the mother-daughter duo.
"I feel so grateful that our journey has been so incredible. Breastfeeding has been one of the most joyful and bonding experiences of my life with Lou, who is still nursing at 16 months," she wrote in the caption about her little one, whom she shares with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.

She added, "I don’t know when we will stop but I am sure we will figure it out together."
The proud mom then acknowledged her privilege of having the support and ability to breastfeed.
"This journey has been filled with ease and grace, and I feel incredibly privileged because I know this isn’t the case for everyone," she explained. "What matters deeply to me is creating a space to support women on their breastfeeding journey, so all can experience the joy and connection it brings."
She continued, "Sadly, so many women lack the necessary support and care, especially during those critical early days in hospitals. There are also so many people and care providers spreading misinformation on social media that can be devastating to your journey with breastfeeding."

Willis then thanked several friends, doctors and family members for their continuous support, including her mom Demi Moore, writing, "Shoutout to the amazing women who help support me on this amazing journey @demimoore @loveofalittleone @drsherrysami @jenntree @thevitalwoman."
"Let’s advocate for better support and resources for breastfeeding moms everywhere," she urged in the caption.
"Together, we can ensure every woman has the chance to experience this beautiful journey."
