Hey foodies, it turns out that petitions to bring back your favorite snacks do work in your favor—or flavor—sometimes. About ten months ago, Ruffles fans started a Reddit thread to reinstate a very game-day-coded flavor, dubbing it the “best chip of all time,” in hopes that it would return.

As luck would have it, these Ruffles made a guest appearance on shelves after their initial disappearance in 2020. Now, Ruffles has resurrected this fan-favorite offering, which resembles the flavoring of one of America’s most prevalent snack foods.

Ruffles Double Crunch Hot Wings Have Returned

According to a spokesperson from Sam’s Club, the Ruffles Double Crunch Hot Wings are back in stores again for a short while. “The Ruffles Double Crunch Hot Wings chips are currently a Sam's Club exclusive, on shelves through October,” the rep told Allrecipes. They were previously available for a limited time in February.

So, it sounds like the flavor never disappeared completely since it’s popped up twice throughout the current year. The chip features the same thick, ridged edges that Ruffles is known for (aka the perfect shape for heavy-lifting chip dips). To heat things up, they're seasoned with a spicy, tangy hot wings flavor for "a unique seasoning that offers a flavorful twist on the classic potato chip," according to the product page.

The retailer is making it even easier to shop for Ruffles Double Crunch Hot Wings chips. They're available online at Sam’s Club for $4-and-change a bag. It's worth noting that excited fans circled back to the petition when they snagged the flavor, claiming they also found the spicy snack at Kroger, Safeway, and Walgreens.

“These got me through 2020 & then just disappeared! I’m so happy I found some more! I can eat a whole bag in one sitting,” one Reddit user wrote on another thread. “I wanted to fall over when I read that they got discontinued, BUT SO GLAD THEY ARE BACK,” another replied.

It seems the chip brand has been appeasing customers this year with its latest additions, from the limited-edition Korean-Style Sweet & Spicy Chili to the returning go-to Ruffles All Dressed. And we couldn't be more grateful.

It looks like the power of the people, or at least some sort of manifestation, works when asking for food companies to revive popular snacks (we see you, Dunkaroos). We wonder, what's next?
