Royal Ascot 2017: What Holly Willoughby, the Duchess of Cambridge et all wore

Royal Ascot 2017 took place this week, giving the Windsor family and Britain’s A-list pack a chance to show off their sartorial prowess at the infamous races.

It might have been a sweltering 30+ degrees on day one of the event, but the royals still dressed up in their finest attire with the Duchess of Cambridge braving the heat in a high-neck, lace dress by Alexander McQueen. Prince William and the other male royals had it worse, though. Top hats, waistcoats, ties and jackets were donned despite the high temperatures.

The Queen gave a nod to her 90th birthday parade in a similar lime green coat dress and hat, while Sophie, Countess of Wessex, looked lovely in a dark green dress and on-trend rattan hat.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also attended, wearing rather minimalist outfits for the occasion, and Zara Tindall looked lovely in a royal blue ensemble.

Day two saw the Queen return and ‘Poldark’ star Eleanor Tomlinson put in an appearance in the very same dress Donna Air wore to the V&A Summer Party.

Holly Willoughby was another celebrity who dressed up to the nines for the races. The ‘This Morning’ presenter worked a Finery London dress, Radley bag and Philip Treacy hat for the occasion and was accompanied by her husband Dan Baldwin.
