The Ritz-Carlton’s Luxe 794-Foot Cruise Ship Is Voyaging to Asia Starting Next Year

The Ritz-Carlton is sending one luxury cruise liner across the Pacific Ocean.

The American hospitality titan just announced that the 794-foot Luminara will begin cruising to the Asia-Pacific region at the end of next year. Running between December 2025 and May 2026, the 10 new voyages will allow travelers to explore 10 vibrant countries, including Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and more.

“As luxury travelers continue to seek unforgettable, personalized experiences around the world, we are thrilled to introduce voyages in the Asia-Pacific region,” Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection chairman and CEO Jim Murren said in a statement. “These new itineraries exemplify our steadfast commitment to continually raising the bar in luxury cruising, offering innovative ways to experience our superyachts and explore vibrant local cultures across the globe.”

The 10 journeys range from 10 to 15 nights in length and depart from either Tokyo, Hong Kong, or Singapore. The ship will stop in 28 notable ports, such as Hạ Long Bay in Vietnam or Puerto Princesa in the Philippines, as well as lively cities like Seoul, Osaka, and Bangkok. Each adventure allows guests to discover ancient landmarks, authentic cuisine, and other local gems.

To give you a taste, the 14-night Singapore to Hong Kong voyage includes a New Year celebration on the ship, an overnight stay in the Thai capital of Bangkok, a tour of the subterranean Cu Chi Tunnels outside Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, and a relaxing stay in scenic Hạ Long Bay.

On all 10 itineraries, guests can embark on group excursions, pre-designed private adventures, or custom private expeditions. You might go kiteboarding in the Philippines, tuck into the delicious street food in Thailand, or dive into some white-water rafting in Malaysia, for example.

All seafarers will also enjoy the personalized service for which the Ritz-Carlton is renowned. Luminara will offer 226 spacious suites for up to 452 guests, world-class dining, an extensive wine collection, a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, and a marina with direct access to the sea. The vessel also has one of the highest staff and space ratios at sea, according to Ritz-Carlton.

Luminara will be the third yacht to join the Ritz-Carlton fleet. The 623-foot Evrima hit the water in October 2022, while the 790-foot Ilma will be launched this September. Luminara is slated to set sail in July 2025, carrying out one round-trip to Rome before cruising the Mediterranean and the Asia-Pacific region.
