Rita Ora reps head-to-toe red trend in four different ’fits in 24 hours
Method dressing may be reserved for the red carpet, but it's also our latest source of inspo for spring summer fashion trends.
Think about it – Barbiecore was already a huge trend when Greta Gerwig's box-office hit was released, but there's no denying Margot Robbie's endless Barbie-inspired outfits during the film's promo tour definitely helped give the pink trend a second wind. Similarly, the preppy athleisure aesthetic was big news on the Miu Miu, Lacoste, Gucci, and Loewe SS24 runways, but it was Zendaya's take on tenniscore that really catapulted the look to the mainstream.
And now, Rita Ora is reinvigorating red, repping the hue head-to-toe in four different 'fits in 24 hours. Rather than flexing her fashion prowess and throwing her support behind the celeb favourite trend, Rita's eye-catching looks are all part of her own promo tourdrobe as she promotes her upcoming role as Queen of Hearts in the Disney+ movie musical, Descendants: The Rise of Red.
First up, the artist-turned-actress stepped out in a red fluffy faux fur coat and coordinating mini dress. She styled the tactile ensemble with red retro Mary Jane heeled slingback pumps and red cat-eye sunglasses.
Rita followed up her first look with a second similar attire consisting of a red coat dress featuring XL oversized shoulders and a very micro hemline. She again matched her accessories to her outfit wearing red patent court shoes on her feet, red aviator sunglasses and red and diamante drop earrings.
Sticking to her tried and tested formula, Rita's third look of the day saw her don a strapless red dress with a structured bodice and beaded skirt paired with red strappy heeled sandals and yet another pair of red sunglasses, this iteration an oversized acetate framed style.
And finally, rounding out her day of promo with an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rita wore a tasselled sequin figure-hugging midi dress with padded cap sleeves and satin platform strappy heeled sandals. A bold red lip was her one constant throughout her style marathon.
ICYMI, red was predicted to be *big* news this season with Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Sinéad O'Dwyer (to name just a few) all sending models down their SS24 runways dressed head-to-toe in the vibrant colourway. Celebrities including Megan Fox, Anya Taylor-Joy and Kylie Jenner followed suit. But, lately, red has felt a little lacklustre with butter yellow reigning supreme as a stylish shade.
But, thanks to Rita's red hot 'fits – that followed a whole other day of all-red everything which Rita shared in an Instagram post, BTW – we're predicting a red resurgence.
