Rita Ora debuts dramatic haircut on the "Today" showWhen Rita Ora woke up this morning she didn’t expect to make a dramatic change to her hair, but yet, that’s what happened!
The Masked Singer judge, 33, spontaneously chopped off several inches of her chest-length strands before co-hosting Today with Hoda and Jenna on Thursday.
During the segment, Hoda Kotb, 59, complimented Ora’s style, which led Ora to announce she had cut her hair just hours before filming.

“By the way, can I just talk about this? I cut my hair off at 7 'o'clock this morning,” Ora revealed. “Now I’m here hosting the show with you. What is my morning by the way?!”
“What just happened? Wait, you just had cut it now?” a visibly surprised Kotb asked.
“Yes! Well, I guess for this. I didn't even know this was happening, honestly!” Ora replied.

Later on, the chart-topping songwriter explained that she was itching for a “fresh start” going into the new year and celebrity hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, went to work.
Giannetos not only cut Ora’s mane into a chic chin-length bob (he calls it an “Italian bob”) but he also transformed her platinum blonde shade into a darker “Hazelnut Latte” dark brown hue with blonde highlights. Ora said the transformation took two hours.
“Jet lag does that to you,” the musician joked of why she suddenly had the urge to switch up her look.

Kotb then brought up a classic style adage believed to be said by Coco Chanel. “They say that a girl who changes her hair is going to change her life.” She then asked Ora if she had a good feeling about the year ahead.
“I love working, I love people, I love connecting, I love music. There’s a moment in time in life when you’ve had enough experience to know what to prioritize. When I turned 30 things started to become real,” Ora said, noting that marrying Taika Waititi was a milestone that marked her new decade.
Even when captioning photos of her haircut, Ora quite simply wrote: “Sometimes you gota [sic] cut out the things in life that don’t serve you.”
Up next on Ora's plate: she'll make her debut on season 11 of The Masked Singer premiering March 6.
