With their booked and busy lifestyles, the rich and the famous (read: our fave celebs) undergo many 'a hair transformation. Whether it's for a brand new up-and-coming feature film or an onstage world tour, we're never short of the dramatics that come with an unexpected cut or colour change.
And in the last year pixie cuts have been big. From Lupita Nyong'o's DIY attempt to Halle Berry's peroxide number and even Rihanna's latest blonde crop, everyone has been jumping onto the trend – though, admittedly, it's one that has been floating around for a hot sec. But I suppose if ever a time to join 'em, it would be now!
So, if you're considering short hair, the pixie cut is officially where it's at for 2023. And of course, a little hair inspo wouldn't go amiss with our round-up of some of our go-to girl crushes that have rocked the cropped look.
Celebrity pixie cuts: Ashley Graham
Where do we start? First up, have we ever seen Ashley Graham with hair quite this blonde? We think not. It's practically gold, people.
The new pixie cut is also taking the signature 1920s flapper waves to the next level; I mean, she's basically a Roman Goddess statue with this look.
Alas, it's probably a wig, but at least we can rest easy knowing what Ashley looks like as a blonde and with the shortest hair we've ever seen her with. Pure art.

Just the other day, Twilight alum (read: legend), Kristen Stewart attended a prestige Chanel branded dinner to celebrate the launch of the Sofia Coppola Archive: 1999-2023.
Doing so in style, the actor debuted a fresh new pixie haircut, chopping a few inches off of her previous mullet style. The shaggy wet look created by celebrity hairstylist, Adir Abergel, is to die for.
Cue all the heart-eye emojis.

Although Julia Garner has been nailing a pixie cut since she accepted her best supporting actress award at the 2023 Golden Globes, it's the first time we've seen her sport this new and improved bouffant hairstyle. Is it just us or is this serving 2008 Victoria Beckham vibes? We're so here for a revival.
A round of applause for her hairstylist, Bobby Eliot, who transformed her cropped hairstyle into a Linda Evangelista-esque masterpiece. Although not entirely new, Julia's pixie cut is one to note on this occasion for it's reminiscent retro feel. This style was an era-defining 90s moment and we're so here for it's comeback courtesy of this award-winning actor.

Verging on a buzz cut, the actress revealed she'd picked up the scissors and "chopped off my sisterlocks!" in a heartfelt (yet funny) Instagram reel dedicated to the lost locks.
Although it looks like she attempted a DIY job, rest assured, as we spotted legendary hairstylist, Vernon François, peeping in the background of the vid. So, we assume he took matters into his own hands to create this chic new pixie cut.
Is there a hairstyle Lupita can't pull off? We think not in this universe.
Celebrity pixie cuts: Scarlett Johansson
In the new trailer release for Wes Anderson’s upcoming film Asteroid City, Scarlett Johansson who plays a Hollywood actor named Midge Campbell, is giving all the 1950s vibes.
Her dark, pixie hair transformation is reminiscent of the nostalgic era and even reminds us of Elizabeth Taylor's iconic cropped curls.

Destiny's Child legend, Kelly Rowland just debuted a hairstyle for the books. Over the weekend, the singer attended the 5th Annual WACO Wearable Art Gala in LA wearing a length billowing red gown complete with formal black dress gloves.
But more notably, it's the hair change we cannot stop staring at. The dark 50s-esque pixie cut couldn't be more different from her XXL mermaid lengths.

Now, if you're after a transformation, look no further than to our fave, Emma Watson.
Iconically, she debuted her 60s mod look back in August and then again officially (read: publicly) just last week on the Prada Paradoxe fragrance launch party red carpet.

She's an icon, she's a legend, she's JoJo with the bow bow (aka, Miss JoJo Siwa). The singer-meets-dancer took the internet by storm back in April after she shared that she had cut her infamous ponytail off and replaced her trademark hairstyle with a pixie cut.
And most recently, she even took to the Industry Dance Awards to debut a pink toned look that she created herself. Impressive, right?
